11st May

This was the last class of the week and the penultimate one before the exam. Therefore, we have continued practising the  sentences transformation we started the day before. Although in the next exam there is no oral test, at the beginning of the class we did a listening exercise which I did quite well considering that it is always my weak point.

10th May

Today we did some listening and I needed it because it is my weak point in English and the more I practise the better I will get at it. Although this is what took us most of the class, we also did the transformed sentences and it helped me to realise that I need to revise certain things before the exam such as reported speech. To do so, I am going to use this tool provided to complete the missing content and I hope that tomorrow we will practise even more because it is the last class before the exam.

Speaking

I really liked the topic of speaking this term because I think it is very useful as we will soon be in the situation of writing a personal statement. Also, talking about things we want to do, such as a career, motivates us and, at least for me, it was noticeable when I was recording it. Moreover, as with the environment, we are studying these subjects in French so we have a lot of information to say.  Compared to the other two speaking sessions, this one was the most interesting despite being the longest (for the first time I was speaking for as long as I could :) ). The one about the environment, as we have studied it so many times, was a bit tiresome and the one about  "Maya the bee" was more entertaining when watching the video but not so much the question we had to answer.

Last weeks of April

In the last few weeks we have been studying relative clauses. I have learned a new pronoun, whom, which is used to refer to the persons receiving the action, as opposed to who is the person doing the action. Before the defining and non-defining relative clauses were difficult for me to understand, but little by little I'm getting the hang of them, although I'll have to revise them well for the exam. Another thing that is helping me is the practice of the sentences in which you have to transform the word that comes in the sentence because in the b2 there is a section about this in the use of english and doing this in class helps me to revise it before going to the english academy.

27th April

In today's class we have learned to differentiate ability and quality. The ability can be acquired or learned while the quality is something that is born with the person. In relation to this topic, the class has been useful since we have learned vocabulary to be able to use it in the next oral exam that we will do. Examples of these adjectives are: determined, precise, brave, work under pression and peaceful. In addition, we were given the draft that we did on whether the laws should protect the way of life of the tribes. I had no grammatical errors but some ideas should have been more elaborated and others I should not have put because they were not related to the question.

Friday 4th March

Today, we've done some exercises about the last four units from the book. I have tried not to look at the theory to check what I've learnt and I think it has been a success!!  Even though, I should practise more exercises with conditional when they have the word "unless" because it confuses me.

Exam 22nd February

I consider that doing grammar and vocabulary exams is useful to show what we have learnt about the unit. However, I would like to do more Selectivity exams to be more prepared when June arrives. In that way we would do a exam with all the sections (reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary)  at the same time, all of them related with we have studied in class. To have more marks, we could do more than one.
